Ground Rules for Discussions
- We will respect confidentiality and anonymity. We will not talk about personal discussions or disclose the names of people who attend the meetings to people outside the group.
- We will respect those who aren’t present and won’t gossip about them.
- We will share discussion time and one person will speak at a time. We will take turns speaking and will listen respectfully to others without interrupting.
- We will be open to new ideas and opinions. We won’t call people names, insult or harass them, engage in loud arguments, or abuse others, either physically or verbally. We will resolve arguments and disagreements in healthy ways.
- It’s always ok not to talk. We don’t have to participate in the discussion if we don’t want. We will also respect people’s right to not participate in a discussion.
